Nicole Kidman plays a mother who lives in the large manson in the mid 40's. She is forced to watch her kids alone when her husband goes off to fight in the war. What makes it even worse is that her kids can't go outside because of a rare allergic reaction to light.
This movie is suppose to be one of the scariest movies of the year, yet I didn't jump once or even think it was scarey. I had to fight off the yawns to stay awake to watch it. The plot moves very slowly, and the fact that it is a very dark lite movie, sets the stage for a good nap. The last 25 min of the movie do pick up and go by pretty quickly
and it does have a nice twist to the ending. But a good ending doesn't make a bad movie good. |
