Synopsis:
While Bastian is trying to escape from some bullies, he ducks into a used book store where a mysterious book captures his interest. When the shop keeper tells him that he can't have the book, Bastian steals it. When he arrives at school, instead of going to class, Bastian sneaks into the attic to read the book.
The book tells the story of Fantasia, a magical place that Nothing has begun to take over. Atreyu, a young boy, has been told that only he can save Fantasia from the Nothing. As Bastian reads about Atreyu, he begins to get more involved in the story, and begins to wonder if the story is somehow reacting to him as well.
